Lumber Baron InnLumber Baron Inn (2 miles) The Lumber Baron Inn is a completely renovated and restored home built in 1888 that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The house has its original woodwork, lights and stained glass. The home was built for a man who owned the first lumber mill in Onalaska. The home is set on three lots overlooking Lake Onalaska and includes the original carriage house and wrought iron fence. Owners Ken and Sandy Berg restored the home in 1995. It features a spectacular view of the lake, perfect for watching wildlife or sunsets. The B&B is located right next to the Great River State Trail, making it a perfect place for bicycling enthusiasts.
