Lemonade

6 cups of water

1 cup of sugar

1 cup of lemon juice

Mix together, add ice and serve.

 


Cranberry Cherry Smoothies

1 cup cranberry juice
1 cup(8 oz.) cherry yogurt
½ cup cherry pie filling
1 medium ripe banana, cut in chunks
½ cups ice cubes


Pour into glasses and serve immediately.  Yield:  4 servings


Orange-Banana Smoothie

2 large oranges, peeled, sectioned & seeded
1 large banana, peeled & sliced
1 (8 oz.) peach yogurt
1 cup cold milk
¼ cup sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
5-6 ice cubes
Combine all ingredients in blender, process, & serve immediately.  Yield:  4 servings


Pineapple Peach Smoothie

½ cup pineapple juice(drained from chunks below)
2 Tablespoons bottled Real Lemon juice or juice from 1 lemon
½ cup water, scant
3 Tablespoons brown sugar
1 (8 oz.) peach yogurt
1 (15 oz.) can peaches, drain & freeze ahead
1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks, drain (save juice) & freeze chunks ahead
Freeze pineapple & peaches well in advance of prep time.  Pour the pineapple juice, lemon juice, and water into a blender.  Add the sugar and yogurt and blend well.
Add the frozen pineapple & peaches and blend.  Pour into glasses and decorate rims with a toothpick kabob of your choice:  wedges of fresh pineapple, orange slice, grapes, cantaloupe or honeydew.
Serves 4.
